INGREDIENTS:

Yellow cake mix (prepared per instructions on box)
One 16 ounce can pineapple slices
Pecan halves
Maraschino cherry halves
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine

DIRECTIONS:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Drain pineapple slices, reserving juice.  Use the juice as part of the liquid called for in the cake mix directions.

2. Melt butter in a 9x13 baking dish.  Mix enough brown sugar with the butter to make a paste and spread it on the bottom of the pan.

3. Spread a single layer of pineapple slices over the brown sugar mixture.  Fill in around the pineapple slices with pecan halves and maraschino cherries.  Place a cherry in the center of each pineapple ring.

4. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 30-35 minutes.
