  Gourmet Tomato Basil Soup
Ingredients:

4 Cups canned tomatoes, crushed
4 cups tomato juice
12-14 Fresh basil leaves, washed
1 Cup heavy cream
1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
1 Tsp. salt
(1/2 Tsp. if using salted butter)
1/4 Tsp. black pepper
Instructions:
Combine tomatoes and juice in saucepan, simmer 30 minutes.  Puree tomatoes, juice and basil leaves in small batches, using food processor or blender.  Return to saucepan and add cream, butter, pepper and salt, while stirring over low heat.  Garnish with basil leaves and serve with crusty bread.
